Plant Your Seeds of Intention

A Fresh Approach to Spring Quarter Planning
As the earth awakens from its winter hibernation, spring invites us to plant new seeds of possibility in our businesses. This season of light and renewal offers the perfect metaphor for intentional planning—a time to nurture fresh ideas and welcome new opportunities.
The Power of Seasonal Planning
One snowy December morning over a decade ago, I found myself feeling disconnected from the New Year planning fervor happening around me. Having recently realized the wellness center I'd worked so hard to build was more satisfying to create than to operate, I found myself in a season of endings rather than beginnings. And planning for the whole year ahead seemed an impossible task. The best I could muster was a three month plan.
An entrepreneur friend and I decided to create our own private planning retreat from home, in our PJs. We connected via Skype at intervals throughout the day—reflecting over coffee, working independently, then reconvening to share progress. Having both the space to work alone and the benefit of each other's feedback proved transformative.
That day helped shape decisions that led me down a path I could never have expected: from teaching embodied movement, to overseeing multi-million dollar campaigns for bestselling authors and helping clients grow their revenue threefold. Most importantly, it taught me the value of intentional, seasonal planning, because there’s no way to plan for the magic that comes when you begin to use your intuition as your guiding force.
Beyond Traditional Planning: The Satisfaction Strategy
This experience helped seed the foundations for my Satisfaction Strategy framework. Unlike traditional planning focused solely on profits, this approach integrates three essential elements:
Impact: How your work creates positive change in your clients' lives and the world.
Profit: The resources that fuel your mission and support your wellbeing.
Pleasure: The energy and joy that sustains both you and your business.
When aligned, these elements create a business that serves your purpose while generating abundance and bringing fulfillment.
Planting Seeds for Spring Growth
As you prepare for spring, consider:
Impact Seeds: What meaningful change do you want your work to create this season?
Profit Seeds: Which revenue streams align most naturally with spring's energy of growth?
Pleasure Seeds: How can you design your schedule to honor both your mission and your wellbeing?
The Nourishment of Community
Just as a garden thrives with diverse plants supporting each other, your business vision flourishes within community. As a founding member and Director of Strategic Visioning at The Prosper Network, I lead quarterly strategic planning sessions that help members:
→ Clarify their unique business vision
→ Create actionable growth strategies
→ Stay accountable to their biggest goals
→ Tap into the collective wisdom of our community
The magic happens when purpose-driven women come together. Solutions emerge that wouldn't be possible in isolation, and accountability transforms intentions into reality.
